Description : Tree, 5 m high; branches spreading, exuding a brown resin bark greyish-brown; younger parts reddish-tomentose, soon puberulous. Leaves ca 28 by 18 cm; petioles red, pulvinate, pubescent, 7–9 cm; leaflets 6 opposite pairs, ovate-oblong or elliptic-lanceolate, 4–10.5 by 2–3.5 cm, apex acute or shortly acuminate, base rounded or subcordate, coriaceous, shining and puberulous especially along nerves below, resin dotted, lateral nerves 10–22 per side, nearly straight, strong, parallel, reticulate, venation densely, prominent below; petiolules pubescent, laterals 1–3 mm, terminal one 2.5 cm. Panicles lax, racemose, with stout, distant, puberulous branches ending in 2–3 flowered cymes, ca 20 by 7 cm long; bracts ovate, pubescent, 1 by 0.5 mm. Flowers 2 by 2.5 mm; pedicels 0.5 mm; calyx 0.8 by 1.5 mm, lobes broadly ovate, obtuse, 0.5 mm, glabrous; petals oblong, 1.5 by 0.8 mm; disc broad, slightly lobed; filaments 0.5 mm, anthers oblong ovoid, 0.5 mm, ovary ovoid, yellowish-brown tomentose, 0.5 mm, styles 0.5 mm. Drupes subglobose, (4–5 or) 8–10 mm in diam., minutely pubescent.


Thailand : NORTH-EASTERN: Nakhon Ratchasima (Khao Si Siat, Chan Tuek).


Distribution : India (Assam – type), Myanmar.


Ecology : Rocky limestone hill, in evergreen forests, ca 500 m alt. Flowering: September.
