Description: Prostrate herb, procumbent, 10–30 cm tall, pubescent. Leaves alternate, lyrate-pinnatifid, obovate to oblanceolate in outline, 3.5–7.5 cm long, lateral lobes 2–5-paired, base auriculate, terminal lobe obovate or suborbicular, pubescent, glandular-dotted; margin coarsely dentate; sessile. Capitula terminal, solitary, rarely paired, globose, 8–10 mm in diam. Involucre hemispheric; phyllaries 2-seriate; outer series lanceolate-ovate, 4–8 mm, pubescent, margin fimbriate, ciliate, apex acute to obtuse; inner series oblanceolate or obovate, clawed, obtuse, scarious at apex. Florets sparsely glandular; marginal female florets, yellow, 5–7-seriate, corolla filiform, ca 1 mm, 2–3-toothed; disk florets, bisexual, fertile, shortly cylindric campanulate, ca 1.2 mm, 5-lobed, lobes ovate; anther base obtuse, apical appendage lanceolate; style arm with triangular appendage. Achenes compressed, oblong, ca 2 mm, glandular, 2-ribbed, apex truncate, with a thickened, toothed ring; pappus absent.

Distribution: Tropical Africa and Asia, in old clearing area, rice field and roadside, to 350 m alt.
