Description: Lithophyte or terrestrial orchid, no pseudobulb. Leaves conduplicate, coriaceous, elliptic to oblong, 11–18 cm long, densely purple-spotted below, apex minute denticulate. Inflorescences usually with 1flower, rarely 2; peduncle 2–4.5 cm long, green to purple, pubescent; bracts ovate, acute to obtuse, 2.3–2.7 cm long, persistent. Flowers whitish-yellow with large purple-red spots, outside pubescent, ciliate; pedicels short. Dorsal sepals concave, elliptic to ovate, slightly wider than long, 3.3–5.6 wide; apex obtuse or retuse. Synsepals deeply concave, cordate, 2–3 cm long; apex obtuse to rounded. Petals broad elliptic, 4.5–6.3 cm long; apex rounded. Labellum narrowly ovoid to ellipsoid, 2.5–4.2 long; margins incurved. Column short; anthers 2, born on short filaments. Staminode subquadrate, 0.8–1.1 cm long; apex dentate. Ovary inferior, ca 3 cm long including pedicel, pubescent.

Distribution: Distributed in Myanmar, S China, Laos, Vietnam and N Thailand, recorded from Chiang Mai, Lamphun and Tak on limestone, 900–1,8000 m.
