Description: Climbing herb. Leaves alternate, cordate-ovate, 5–15 cm long; leaf scheat 1–4 cm long; apex caudate; petioles 5–17 cm long; blade sparsely pubescent. Inflorescence panicle-like cyme of several cincinni, opposite leaves, each cincinnus with 2–10 flowers. Involucral bracts leaflike, white, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, 1.5–6 cm long. Flowers white; sub-sessile, basal cincinnus bisexual, others usually male. Sepals 3, boat shaped with acute apex, 3–8 mm long. Petals 3, linear 0.5–1 cm long. Stamens 6; filaments 5–9 mm long, densely yellow cream hairy; anther ellipsoid, longitudinally dehiscent. Ovary 3-loculed, glabrous; ovules 2 per locule; style 4–7 mm long; stigma capitate.
