Description: Woody climber, stems to ca 20 m long. Stipules narrowly triangular. Leaves simple, opposite, elliptic, 7.5–12.5 cm long; apex acuminate, base cuneate to rounded, slightly oblique; petioles 0.5–2 cm long. Inflorescences terminal or axillary, cymose panicle; flowers many, fragrant, creamy white turning pale yellow-orange. Calyx 5, rounded triangular, ca 1 mm long, persistent. Corolla salverform, 5 lobes, contorted; tube shorter than the corolla lobes; lobes lanceolate to linear, recurved, 0.7–1 cm long. Stamens 5, inserted in corolla throat; filaments short; anthers basifixed, linear, ca as long as the corolla lobes, sagittate at base. Ovary 2-celled, to ca 2.5 mm long, ovules many; style club-shaped, exserted 7–9 mm long. Capsule subglobse, 2-lobed, 6–8 mm diam; seeds many, flattened with circular wings, ca 3 mm diam.

 

Distribution: Lower Myanmar, Indochina, Malesia and most parts in Thailand except in the north, common in open areas and edges of evergreen and dry evergreen forest, to 900 m.
