Description: Climber; branches densely tomentose, latex white. Leaves simple, opposite; blade elliptic, oblong to obovate, glabrous tom sparsely tomentose below, especially on midrib, 7–23 x 2.5–10 cm; apex acuminate to slightly caudate; base rounded to cordate; secondary nerves 5–13 pairs; petioles 0.5–1.5 cm long, tomentose. Inflorescences cymose panicle, 1–13 cm long, tomentose; flowers buds narrow, salverform when open. Sepals 5, imbricate, ovate, glabrous, ciliate, 0.2–0.4 cm long. Corolla 5-lobed, tube white to pink, 3–5 cm long; lobes obovate, pink or white with dark pink patches on corolla mouth, 1.5–2 cm long, puberulent outside, pubescent inside, overlapping to the right in bud. Stamens 5, inserted lower half of tube; anthers narrowly triangular, 0.7–1 cm long, base sagittate. Disc 5-lobed, glabrous, ca as high as ovary. Ovary with 2 separate carpels, ca 1.5 mm long, united into a common style; style filiform, ca 2 cm long including pistil head. Fruits a pairs of follicles; fusiform, 30–35 cm long, sparsely tomentose. Seeds flat, 1.7–1.8 cm long, coma ca 3 cm long.

Distribution: Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, scattered throughout the country, in deciduous dipterocarp, dry evergreen and evergreen forests, occasionaly found also on limestones, to ca 800 m.
