Description: Herb, 50–60 cm tall, glabrous. Leaves alternate, ovate to lanceolate; apex acute or acuminate; attenuate at base; hispidulose on nerves below; secondary nerve 7–8 pairs; petioles to ca 3.5 cm. Inflorescences axillary, fascicle, 1–3 flowers. Flowers pinkish purple, pedicels 5–6 cm long; bracts near to pedicel base. Lateral sepals 2, linear to lanceolate, 0.6–0.8 cm long, hirsute. Lip boat-shaped, ca 1 cm cross, aristate at apex; spure filiform, straight, 4–5 cm long. Standard cordate, 2 x 2.5 cm, costa ca 1 cm long, not winged, hirsute, narrow horn at apex. Wing petals 4, separate; distal lobes subcordate, ca 1.5 cm long; basal lobes oblong, ca 1.4 cm long. Stamens 5, anthers connate. Style short. Fruits capsule, turgid in the middle, hirsute. Seeds obovoid, compress, ca 3.5 mm long, granulate pubescent.

 

Distribution: Endemic to Thailand, recorded from Loei (Phu Luang) and Phitsanulok (Phu Hin Rongkla), in open wet rocky ground areas, 1,300–1,500 m.
