Description: Medium tree, 5–15 m tall. Leaves opposite, oblong to slightly lanceolate, rather thin, 6.5–18 x 3.5–8 cm; base cunete, apex long acuminate, margin entire; secondary nerves 10–12 pairs, arching; petioles 1–2.5 cm long. Inflorescences terminal, elongate raceme, 5–13 cm long, dense flowers. Flowers bisexual, elongate, ca 0.8 x 0.2 cm; pedicels ca 1 mm with 3 small unequal bracteoles; sepals 4, lobes ca 1 mm, persistent in fruit; petals 4, subulate, rather thick, hairy on both surfaces, white, 0.5–0.8 cm long. Stamens 4, slightly shorter than petals; filaments pale yellow, hairy; anthers 2–4, oblong. Disk present. Ovary inferior; 2 carpels, joined into one locule; style solitary, ca as long as stamen; stigma 1-lobed. Fruit baccate, elliptic, ca 1 cm long; seed 1.

 

Distribution: China (Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan), India, Myanmar, Peninsular Malaysia and Java. In Thailand recorded from Mae Wong (Kamphaeng Phet), Khao Yai (Nakhon Nayok), and Khao Luang (Nakhon Si Thammarat), scattered on hillsides in evergreen and montane forests, 100–1,300 m. Polyosma cambodiana Gagnep. treated as P. Integrifolia Blume here.
