Description: Shrubby tree, frequently clumping, up to 10 m tall. Bark smooth, dark greyish. Indumentum shortly fine pale creamy fasicled hairs. Leaves elliptic to oblong, thickened, almost glabrous, 3–6 x 1.5–2.5 cm; apex retuse; base cuneate; secondary nerves 8–10 pairs, hardly distinguish; petioles 0.5–1 cm long. Panicles 3 cm at most; calyx lobes united near the base, c. 1.5 x 1 mm; petals obovate-oblong, white, glabrous, 7 x 3 mm. Stamens 15, glabrous, c. 0.5 mm; connective appendage, minute, pointed; anthers 2-celled, oblong, thickened, c. 0.3 mm long, inner ones shorter; filaments gradually broad to base, as long as anthers. Ovary conical, c. 1 x 1 mm, pubescent; style as long as ovary; stigmas 6-lobed. Fruiting calyx lobes united very near to the base, sparsely pubescent; 2 longer lobes obovate-oblong, apex obtuse, 2–3 x 0.5 cm; 3 short ones, c. 1 x 0.3 cm.; stalk 1–2 mm.
