Description: Straggling shrub; branches glabrous, with densely lenticels; axillary buds densely red-brown hairs. Leaves elliptic to oblong, 5–9 x 2.5–4.5 cm, glabrous; lower surface mostly with 2 basal glands; secondary nerves 4–6 pairs; petiole glabrous, 0.5–1 cm long. Inflorescences 5–15 cm long, densely red-brown hairs; pedicel c. 1–2 cm long, articulate at middle or above. Flowers many; calyx with glands, minute, inconspicuous, lobes orbicular, recurved, c. 2 mm in diam; petals white to pinkish, oblong, apex rounded, base truncate or auriculate, margin fimbriate; stamens c. 0.4–0.5 cm long, the longest one c. 1 cm, anthers c. 1.5 mm long; ovary 1.5–2 mm in diam., style c. 1 cm long, sparsely red-brown hairs. Mericarps sparsely red-brown hairy, purple red, green at base; middle wing oblong, tapering to the base, apex rounded, c 3.5 x 1 cm; lateral wings c. 2 x 1 cm; dorsal crest winged, c. 0.5 x 0.3 cm.

 

Distribution: Endemic to Thailand, recorded from Chiang Mai (Doi Chiang Dao) and Chaing Rai (Doi Thum Tu Pu, Doi Tung), locally common in open rugged limestone hills, 500–1,800 m.
