Description: Tendrilled liana. Young branches reddish brown hairy, then grabrous. Stipules oblong-elliptic, caducous. Leaves coriaceous, ovate; apex slightly bifid to deeply bifid almost to the base. Inflorescences densely ferrugineous pubescent; bracts hairy outside, glabrous inside. Hypathium tubular to narrowly funnel-shaped, striate, hairy. Calyx split one side to the base, opposite side at the tip only. Petals densely reddish brown hairy. Stamens 3 ferile, fillaments and anthers glabrous; staminodes 2, minute, triangular. Ovary covered with reddish brown hairy. Pods ferrugineous pubescent. Seeds 5–7, dark brown, flat, orbicular. | | | |
Distribution: Endemic to Thailand, recorded from Nongkhai (Phu Thok Noi, Phu Wua), Nakhon Phanon (Phu Langka) and Sakon Nakhon (Phu Phan), common in disturbed areas, edges of dry evergreen forest, 150–200 m.
