Description : Perennial herb; stems twining; all vegetative and some reproductive parts (peduncle, inflorescence axis, bract, pedicel, bracteole, calyx, ovary and pod) golden brown strigose. Stipules linear, 3–5 by ca 0.5 mm, apex acuminate or acute, margin entire, persistent. Leaves pinnately 3-foliolate; petioles 3–8 cm long; rachis 1–2.5 cm long. Leaflets: petiolules 2–3.5 mm long; lateral veins 5–9 pairs; terminal leaflet elliptic, 8–12 by 4–6 cm, apex acute, obtuse or rounded and apiculate, base truncate, rounded or subcordate, margin entire; lateral leaflets elliptic, ovate-lanceolate or ovate, 6–10 by 3–5 cm, apex acute, obtuse or rounded and apiculate, base truncate, rounded or subcordate, margin entire; stipels subulate, 1.5–3 mm long, apex acute, margin entire, persistent. Inflorescences axillary, arranged in nodose-pseudoracemes; peduncles 1–2.5 cm long; axis 2.5–5 cm long; fascicled bracts 2, caducous, subulate, 1–2 mm long, apex acute. Flowers white; pedicels 1–2 mm long; bracteoles 2, attached near the middle of pedicel, subulate, 1–1.5 mm long, apex acute, persistent. Calyx: tube 2–2.5 by 2–3 mm; two upper lobes ovate, 1–1.5 by ca 1 mm, apex acute; three lower lobes ovate-lanceolate, 1.5–2 by ca 1 mm, apex acute. Corolla with claw, outside densely golden brown sericeous; standard narrowly obovate, 5–6 by 2–3 mm, apex retuse, claw ca 1.5 mm long; wings oblong, 4–5 by ca 1.5 mm, apex obtuse, claw ca 1.5 mm long; keel elliptic, 3.5–4 by 1.5–2 mm, apex obtuse, claw ca 1.5 mm long. Stamens: filaments ca 4 mm long; anthers suborbicular, ca 0.5 mm long. Pistil ca 3 mm long; ovary narrowly oblong; stigma capitate and hairy. Pods oblong, 3.5–5 by 0.5–1 cm, slightly constricted between seeds, with shortly apical beak, base shortly stipitate, golden brown strigose; fruit stalk 3–4 mm long. Seeds 3–5.

Distribution : Myanmar.


Ecology : Mixed deciduous forest; 300–800 m alt. Flowering and fruiting: May–July.
