Description : Epiphytic herb 8.6–15.5 cm tall. Stems flexuous, 7.5–14.2 cm long, partially enclosed in sheathing leaf bases, often branching. Leaves many, distichous, arranged in a single plane, twisted at base, spreading widely from stem axis, oblong-ovate, 4.8–6.7 by 1.4–2.2 mm, membranous, 5-veined, acute or shortly apiculate. Inflorescence terminal or lateral, up to 26 mm long, 3- to 8-flowered; rachis 5–25 mm long; floral bracts linear-ovate, 0.8–1.2 mm long, acute. Flowers 2.8–3.3 mm long, white flushed pale pink with a rose-purple streak on the inner surface of the petals and on the lip. Sepals shortly connate at the base, ovate, membranous, 1-veined; dorsal sepal 1.8–2.3 by 1.2–1.6 mm, obtuse; lateral sepals 2.6–2.8 mm long including the mentum, 1–1.1 mm wide, acute; mentum oblong, ca 1.2 mm long, apex 2-lobed. Petals elliptic-ovate, 1.3–1.4 by 0.8–0.9 mm, 1-veined, obtuse. Labellum simple, ovate, 2–2.5 mm long, 1–1.2 mm wide, basally contained within the mentum and attached to the column foot, with a raised fleshy quadrate callus at base, 3-veined, apex obtuse; column foot ca 1.3 mm long. Column 0.8–1 mm long; pollinarium comprising 4 separate pollinia borne in 2 pairs, ca 0.3 mm long. Ovary and pedicel terete, ca 1.4 mm long. Capsule ridged, 3–3.5 mm long.
Thailand : EASTERN: Nakhon Ratchasima (Khao Laem); CENTRAL: Nakhon Nayok; SOUTH-EASTERN: Prachin Buri (Khao Yai), Chanthaburi (Khao Khitchakut), Trat (Ko Chang); PENINSULAR: Ranong, Phatthalung (Tha Mot), Pattani (Betong), Narathiwat.
Distribution : Myanmar, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia (Peninsular (type), Sabah, Sarawak), Brunei, Indonesia (Java, Kalimantan, Sumatra).
Ecology : Epiphyte or lithophyte growing in moist places and along streams in evergreen hill forests and evergreen rainforests, 50–1,350 m alt. Flowering: March–December.
Vernacular : Sa ruk bai lek (สะรูกใบเล็ก), ueang khon nok (เอื้องขนนก), ueang bai ma kham (เอื้องใบมะขาม).
