Description : Epiphyte or lithophyte, 10–25 cm tall. Stem (0.6–)8–18 cm long; sheaths at base, (0.5–3) 6.5–10 by 3–9.5 mm. Leaves solitary, 2–6 cm long, subterete, narrowed towards the apex, acute. Inflorescence 4–8 mm long, capitate, sessile, several-flowered; inflorescence bract 3–5 by 2.5–4 mm, 5-veined; floral bracts (1.5–)3–6.6 by 0.5–2.1 mm, 1–3-veined. Flower 4–6.5 by 2–3 mm, yellow or pale pink with yellow labellum. Sepals: dorsal sepal oblong-elliptic, 1.5–2.8 by 0.5–1.3 mm, 3-veined; lateral sepals oblong-ovate, (2–)1.5–2.5 mm long from apex without column foot, 3-veined. Petals narrowly elliptic, acute, 1–2 by 0.2–0.8 mm, 1-veined, glabrous, entire. Labellum oblong spathulate, narrow basally, gradually broadened and thickened towards the apex; epichile oblong, 1.5–2 by 0.9–1.5 mm, apical part fleshy, margin erose and thinner, apex obtuse and villiform; mesochile 0.5–1.2 by 0.3–0.7 mm; hypochile 0.9–1.8 by 0.2–0.4 mm. Column 1–1.5 mm long; anther obliquely triangular, 0.2–0.7 by 0.5–0.7 mm; pollinia 0.2–0.5 by 0.1–0.4 mm. Ovary (including pedicel)(2–)2.8–4.9 mm, hairy. Capsule green, obovoid-ellipsoid, ellipsoid or oblong, 6–10 by ca 1–4 mm.


Thailand : PENINSULAR: Surat Thani (Khao Nong), Phangnga (Ton Pariwat), Nakhon Si Thammarat, Satun (Khao Kaeo Range), Pattani (Khao Kalakhiri), Yala (Khao Pok Yo).


Distribution : India, Myanmar, China, Indonesia (type).


Ecology : Growing as an epiphyte or lithophyte in montane evergreen forests, or in dry evergreen forests on fully exposed granite bedrock, (200–)700–1,200(–1,550) m alt. Flowering: recorded in January, March, May and July–October.
