Description : Annual herbs, prostrate or spreading. Leaves broadly elliptic, 0.7–2.5 by 0.5–1.5 cm, glabrous or with scattered hairs on veins beneath and margin, lateral veins 3–4 pairs. Inflorescences terminal and axillary, to 5 mm wide. Calyx lobes 4, narrowly triangular, length variable on individual flowers, longest to 1 mm. Corolla white, to 1 mm long; lobes to 0.9 mm, much longer than tube, outside glabrous, inside a few short hairs near top of lobes. Stamens exserted from corolla tube, much shorter than corolla lobes. Style not exceeding stamens. Capsule to 1.7 by 1.3 mm, scattered hairs throughout, part of septum lamellas remaining attached to valves at dehiscence. Seeds dark brown, obovate or elliptic, to 1.4 by 0.8 mm; seed surface dorsally rugose.


Thailand : SOUTH-WESTERN: Petchaburi; CENTRAL: Krung Thep Maha Nakhon (Bangkok).


Distribution : Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia (type from Java), the Philippines, New Guinea, adventive in tropical Africa and the Americas.


Notes: Only known from two collections in Thailand, the most recent being in 1972.
