Description : Tree 15–30 m high; young shoots and inflorescences puberulous, glabrescent. Stipules small, caducous. Leaves 13–25 cm long; petioles 2.5–5 cm long; rachis 6.5–15 cm long, glabrous. Leaflets 7–9, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, 3.5–10 by 2–5 cm, apex acute, base obtuse to rounded, glabrous on both surfaces; lateral veins 7–9 pairs, distinct on both surfaces, tertiary veins and reticulation more distinct on lower surface; petiolules 2–5 mm long. Inflorescences terminal and in upper leaf axils, paniculate, 10–20 cm long; bracts and bracteoles small, very early caducous; pedicels ca 1 mm long. Calyx ca 5 mm long, glabrous. Corolla whitish; limb of standard orbicular, ca 3.5 mm in diam., claw ca 1.5 mm long; wing oblong, ca 3.5 by 1 mm, claw ca 1.5 mm long; keel, ca 3.5 by 2 mm, claw ca 1.5 mm long. Stamens 10, in one bundle. Ovary glabrous; ovules 4; stipe hairy. Pods linear-oblong, 4.5–8 by 1 cm; pericarp very thin, fragile, light brown when dry, 1–4-seeded. Seeds reniform, ca 4 by 6 mm, reddish brown.

Distribution : Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam (type).
Ecology : In mixed deciduous and dry evergreen forests, near sea level to 200 m alt.
