Description : Annual herb, 0.3–0.8 m tall; stems erect, pubescent. Leaves petiolate, blade obovate or oblanceolate, 1–6 by 0.5–2.5 cm, apex acute, base obtuse, margins dentate or serrate, upper surface pubescent with glandular hairs, lower surface tomentose with glandular hairs; petioles 0.3–1 cm long. Inflorescences terminal and/or axillary, dense corymbose panicles, 10–30 cm long. Capitula 3–4 mm diam., peduncles 0–4 mm long; involucres tubular-campanulate; phyllaries 4-seriate, outer lanceolate with ciliate margins, 0.5–0.6 mm broad, pubescent; receptacle 2–3 mm diam., flat, alveolate, glabrous. Marginal floret corollas yellow, basal tube 2.8–3.5 mm long, glabrous, lobes glabrous. Disc floret corollas yellow, basal tube 3.2–3.8 mm long, glabrous, lobes oblong-lanceolate, 0.2–0.3 mm long, with glandular hairs; anthers 0.5–1 mm long, apical appendages acute, bases with unbranched tails, anther-tails shorter than anther collars; style arms 0.9–1 mm long, base swollen. Achenes oblong, 5-ribbed, 0.5–0.7 mm long, setuliferous; pappus bristles ca 10, 5–5.5 mm long, persistent, white.
Thailand : NORTH-EASTERN: Phetchabun (Nam Nao NP).
Distribution : China (Hainan, Guangdong, Yunnan, Guangxi), India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia (Sumatra, West Irian Jaya), the Philippines (Luzon).
Ecology : Occurring along streams, above 650 m alt. Flowering: January–March.
