Description : Flowering shoots 15−25 cm tall, internodes 2−4 by 0.3−0.5 cm, green with brown spots or bands. Foliage leaves 1−3, crowded on upper part of stem, pink or purplish, sometimes with pale red spots or bands on upper surface, pink, dark purple or green on lower surface; petiole 2−3 cm long; lamina ovate with more or less cordate and often oblique base, acute or acuminate, 4−10 by 2−6 cm. Inflorescence spicate, oblongoid, laxly 8- to 15-flowered; peduncle 5−6 cm long; rachis 3−5 cm long, floral bracts ovate-lanceolate. Flowers short-pedicelled to subsessile, drooping, green to greenish-yellow. Sepals glabrous, similar in shape and size, oblanceolate, 7−8 by 2−3 mm, green at base and yellowish or yellowish-green at margin with 3 dark green streaks, margin straight, apex curled down or slightly reflexed. Petals more or less similar to sepals, oblanceolate, 8−9 by 2−3 mm, glabrous, green at base and yellowish or yellowish-green at apex with 3 dark green streaks, margin straight, apex slightly reflexed. Labellum 9−10 by 4−5 mm, differentiated into a channelled hypochile and a more or less flat epichile, yellowish or yellowish-green; hypochile finely pubescent in 2 more or less confluent rows and with hairy margins; epichile ornamented by a tuft of high fat papillae; spur globular, dark green. Column 3−5 by 2−3 mm; anther ca 2 by 2 mm. Ovary ca 5 by 1 mm. Capsule 1.5−2 by 0.5−1 cm.

Distribution : India, China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia (type).
Ecology : Shaded areas in moist evergreen forests and hill evergreen forests.
Vernacular : Son aep phu (ซ่อนแอบภู).
