Distribution : Vietnam.

Ecology : No data available on habitat or altitudinal range. Flowering: recorded in March and April in cultivation.

Notes: The type specimen was prepared from a cultivated plant said to have originated in northern Thailand. Some skepticism is necessary because this region has been well-collected for species of horticultural interest over many decades. A great many novelties have been exported from Vietnam in the past two decades and this species has appeared in European nurseries and collections with a provenance of Vietnam, rather than Thailand.
