Description : Flowering shoots (19–)30–68 cm tall. Pseudobulbs prominent, ovoid, 2.5–8.5 by 1.5–3 cm. Foliage leaves (1–)2–4, lanceolate-oblong, acute or acuminate, annual, glabrous, (15–)22–47 by 4–7 cm; petioles 3–6(–9) cm long. Inflorescences lax or semi-dense, softly pubescent, nodding; peduncles (10–)21–53 cm long; sterile bracts 2–9, lanceolate-oblong, 1.2–5 cm long; rachis (2–)5–15(–22) cm long, (2–)5- to 20-flowered; floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, acute or acuminate, persistent, 9–20(–22) by 5–8(–10) mm. Flowers 14–18 mm in diameter, pink to lilac or white with red dots, labellum with red markings, flowers turning orange with age. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, (8–)9–14 by 3–8 mm, softly pubescent on the outside. Petals ovate-elliptic, obtuse, 9.3–14 by 2.9–4.5 mm, glabrous. Labellum 3-lobed, base fused with the column foot, 9–15 by 13–22 mm; mid-lobe flabellate, apex rounded, truncate or emarginate, 3–7(–8) by (6.5–)7–8 mm; side lobes oblong, obtuse, broadening towards the apex, 3–10 by 4–8(–10) mm; base of the free labellum portion ornamented by 3 fleshy keels, middle one extending as a rounded keel or strong vein onto the mid-lobe; spur cylindric, 15–25(–28) mm long, pubescent. Column subglabrous or pubescent, 3–5 mm long, column foot to 3(–4) mm long; rostellum bilobed. Ovary (including pedicel) green or sometimes dark purple, pubescent, 23–50 mm long. Capsule ellipsoid, ca 20 by 8 mm.

Distribution : Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia.
Ecology : Terrestrial, lithophytic or very rarely epiphytic in evergreen and deciduous forests over sandstone or granite; 300–1,640 m alt. Flowering: (September–)October–December(–April).
Vernacular : Thao nang hung (เฒ่านั่งฮุ่ง), ueang nam ton (เอื้องน้ำต้น)(Chiang Mai); ueang liam (เอื้องเลี่ยม)(Northern).
