Description : Plants dioecious. Leaves submerged or floating; submerged blades lanceolate, to 70 by 7 cm, entire; floating blades ovate to widely ovate, to 17 by to 8 cm, entire. Inflorescence imperfect, spathes 2-ribbed; staminate to 30-flowered; carpellate 1-flowered. Flowers above surface of water, staminate sepals 11–15 by 3–4 mm, stamens (9–)12(–15); capellate sepals to 25 by 7 mm, carpels 9–20.
Thailand : NORTH-EASTERN: Khon Kaen.
Distribution : Myanmar (type), Cambodia, SE China.
Ecology : Lakes, pools, ponds and slowly flowing rivers, 1,200 m in Thailand.
