Description : Branchlets terete, tomentose; branches glabrous and lenticellate. Leaves: petiole 0.6–1.1 cm long; blade coriaceous, elliptic, 10.6–26 x 5.7–9.8 cm, apex obtuse to shortly acuminate, base rounded to weakly cordate; secondary veins 10–12 pairs; puberulent above and beneath. Inflorescence 10–15 cm long; pubescent. Calyx connate for about half of its length, lobes deltoid; sparsely puberulent to glabrous; 10.5–14 mm long. Corolla white; tube 4.7–6.2 cm long; lobes 2.7–3.7 cm long; glabrous outside, pubescent inside. Stamens with anthers 10.5 x 1.6 mm. Disk shorter than ovary. Fruit ca 25 cm long, 1.3–1.5 cm wide.
