Description : Branches glabrous, lenticellate. Leaves: petiole 4–17 mm long; blade coriaceous, elliptic or oblong, (2.6–)6.0–8.5(–14.3) x (0.9–)1.9–3.1(–4.4) cm, apex bluntly acuminate, base cuneate to obtuse; secondary veins, 14–18(–24) pairs which are not very distinct from the slightly weaker parallel veins and the further reticulate venation; glabrous. Inflorescence axillary; to 1.7 cm long, as long as or longer than the subtending petiole; delicate. Sepals ovate, 1–1.8 x 0.6–0.7 mm, apex rounded; glabrous, ciliate. Corolla tube 1.5–3 mm long, lobes 2–4.5 mm long; glabrous outside and inside. Stamens inserted at 0.6–1.7 mm from base; anthers 0.4–0.9 x 0.3–0.5 mm. Ovary glabrous, 0.5–0.8 mm long; style + pistil head 0.5–0.9 mm long. Fruit globose; 1.9–9.9 cm diameter. Seeds 1.2–2.4 x 0.6–1.4 cm.
