Description : Robust herbs, stems simple or corymb-like branched, terete, erect, 6–10 cm high. Leaves increasing in size towards apex; lower leaves oblong, 0.5–1.5 by 0.2–0.5 cm; apex obtuse, margins hyaline, ciliate. Flowers 5-merous, 4–20, fascicled together, terminal, 1.5 cm long. Calyx tube scarious, 5–8 mm long; lobes equal, 5, oblong or oblong-spathulate, 5–7 mm long, margins hyaline with short ciliae, apex obtuse. Corolla pale blue, tube 12 mm long; lobes 5, strikingly short, 1.5 mm long; plicae obtuse. Stamens equal; filaments 4–7 mm long; anthers 2 mm long. Style very shoft. Capsule obovoid with wing at the apex, 9 by 5 mm; stalk 3 mm long.
Thailand : NORTH-EASTERN: Sakon Nakhon (Wanon Niwat), Loei (Phu Luang).
Distribution : Endemic (type: Kerr 8493 -K).
Ecology : Open grassy deciduous forests, 200–1,300 m alt.
