Description : Small to medium-sized tree. Leaves oblong-lanceolate to ovate, 15–25(–36) by 4–9(–11) cm. Flower-buds narrowly fusiform, strongly scented. Tepals 8–12. Carpels 10–13 in a gynoecium, glabrous. No fruiting specimens ever seen. A cultigen of probably Malesian (or south Chinese?) origin; generally propagated by marcotting.
Vernacular : Champi (จำปี).
