Description : Pseudobulbs 2–2.5 cm apart, ovoid-oblongoid, 6–8 cm long, 1–1.5 cm in diameter. Leaves 2, conduplicate, subterminal; lamina elliptic-oblong to oblanceolate-oblong, acuminate, 14–19 by 2–4 cm. Inflorescence subterminal, suberect, 14–18 cm long, up to 26-flowered, sparsely hairy; floral bracts lanceolate to subulate, ca 1 mm long, acuminate. Flowers greyish green with purplish brown stripes on sepals and petals. Sepals glabrous; dorsal sepal oblong, acute, obtuse, ca 12 by 13 mm; lateral sepals obliquely triangular-oblong, falcate, ca 10 by 4 mm; mentum distinct, ca 5 mm long. Petals lanceolate-oblong, obtuse, ca 12 by 5 mm, glabrous. Labellum simple, elliptic-oblong, ca 12 by 5 mm, margin undulate in the apical part, base attenuate, apex subtruncate to emarginate; labellum ornamented by 5 undulate lamellae running from the base almost to the apex. Column slender, 6–7 mm long; column foot up to 7 mm long. Ovary (including pedicel) ca 10 mm long, glabrous. Capsule not seen.


Thailand : NORTHERN: Chiang Mai (Doi Inthanon).


Distribution : India (type), Myanmar, China.


Ecology : Growing as an epiphyte or lithophyte in hill evergreen forests, 1,600–1,700 m alt. Flowering: March–April.
