Description : Herb or subshrub to 1 m tall; viscid; stem, petioles and peduncles covered with patent long and short simple hairs and stellate hairs. Leaves 1.5–3 by 1.5–4.5 cm, deeply 3-lobed; lobes obovate or oblong, base shallowly cordate or subtruncate, apex acute, margin laxly and irregularly serrate, stellate-hairy, gland dotted on both surfaces. Petiole 1.5–6 cm long. Stipules filiform, 3–5 mm long, hairy. Flower solitary, axillary; peduncles 2–4.5 cm long, articulated ca 5 mm from base. Epicalyx lobes 8–10, linear or filiform, free, 6–10 mm long, margin long ciliate. Calyx campanulate; 5-lobed, lobes ovate, ca 2.5 by ca 1 mm, outside pubescent, inside glabrous. Corolla pale pink, rotate, ca 1.5 cm in diam. Petals 5, obovate, ca 7 by 5 mm. Staminal column ca 6.5–7.5 mm long, white, 5-toothed at apex; antheriferous throughout; filaments 2–4 mm long, anthers ca 1 mm long, yellow. Ovary depressed globose, ca 1.5 mm in diam., 5-locular, glabrous; style 10-branched, stylar branches 2–3 mm long; stigmas capitate, softly hairy. Schizocarp subglobose, 4–6 mm in diam., glabrous or minute stellate hairy; mericarps 5, trigonous, ca 3 mm long, apex shortly beak, margin prominently ribbed; dorsal side minute stellate hairy, lateral sides glabrous. Seed trigonous with rounded angles, striate, rugose, brownish.
Thailand : SOUTH-WESTERN: Prachuap Khiri Khan (Khlong Wan, Khao Chong Krachok).
Distribution : Tropical Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Mauritius.
Ecology : In wasteland, calcareous rocky areas, edges of thickets and limestone hills with red clay soils. Flowering and fruiting: August–December.
Vernacular : Khi on foi (ขี้อ้นฝอย).
