Description : Flowering shoots as reed-like stems with distinct basal pseudobulbs, to 70 cm tall. Pseudobulbs conical to bottle-shaped, olive-green or purplish-brown, 7–8 by 3–4 cm. Foliage leaves (5–)8–10, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, glabrous, laminas 8–16.5 by 1.9–3.5 cm. Inflorescences lax, pubescent, 30–51(–70) cm long; sterile bracts 5–8, lanceolate-oblong, acute, glabrous, 2.7–4 cm long; rachis (7–)13–20 cm long, 7- to 15-flowered; floral bracts ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, pubescent, whitish-green, (10‒)20‒35 mm long. Flowers yellow or pink dotted with red, labellum yellow or cream-coloured with purple markings in the basal part. Sepals elliptic-lanceolate, subacute or acute, pubescent on the outside; dorsal sepal 13–20 by 5–7 mm; lateral sepals similar but slightly narrower. Petals oblong-lanceolate, obtuse, glabrous, (11.5–)12.3–18.5 by 2.6–5 mm. Labellum ovate, 3-lobed, 7.5–11 by 8.5–12 mm, sides entire, upper part strongly recurved, broadest part near the apex; mid-lobe a triangular tooth, 0.6–1 by 0.5–1.5 mm; side lobes triangular, obtuse, without calli, ca 3 by 2–2.5 mm. Column glabrous, 4.5–7 mm long. Ovary (including pedicel) pubescent, 15–28 mm long. Capsule not seen.


Thailand : NORTHERN: Nan; SOUTH-WESTERN: Phetchaburi; CENTRAL: Nakhon Nayok; SOUTH-EASTERN: Trat; UNSPECIFIED: Khao Yai NP [comprising parts of the provinces of Nakhon Ratchasima, Saraburi, Prachin Buri and Nakhon Nayok].


Distribution : Cambodia (type), Vietnam.


Ecology : Terrestrial in dry or moist evergreen forests, 800–1,300 m alt. Flowering: May–July.


Vernacular : Ueang khuat (เอื้องขวด).


Notes: Plocoglottis bokorensis is known from several widely scattered localities in northern, south-western, central and south-eastern Thailand, and appears to be the only Thai Plocoglottis species which is absent from the peninsula.
