Accepted Name : This is currently accepted.
Description : Climber, stem woody, bark winged, corky, pubescent. Leaves without pseudo-stipules; petiole 11–12.5 cm, pubescent; lamina ovate, 17.5–22.5 by 12–18.5 cm, base deeply cordate, margin slightly repand, apex acuminate, glabrous above, villous below, 3-nerved at the base, pinnately 4-nerved along the midrib, veins transverse, venation reticulate, prominent on both sides. Inflorescences not seen. Fruit borne on the ground, long cylindrical, 27 by 4 cm, longitudinally strongly 6-angled, brown. Seeds not ripe.
Thailand : NORTHERN: Mae Hong Son (Pang Mapha).
Distribution : India, Nepal (type), Bangladesh.
Ecology : In evergreen forests on black soil over limestone, at 800 m alt.
Notes: Only fruiting material from one collection was available of this taxon. It shows remarkable similarities to Aristolochia saccata Wall. in its large, cordate leaves and in its large fruits lying on the ground, suggesting that the flowers appear on the old wood close
