Description : Shrub to 1.5 m. Leaves rhombic, 3–5.5 cm long, incised-serrate, glabrous. Petiole 6–8 mm long. Flowers about 1 cm across, in rather dense glabrous umbels. Petals white, suborbicular to oval, longer than stamens. Follicles with terminal spreading styles.


Thailand : NORTHERN: Chiang Mai (cultivated).


Distribution : NW India to S China (type) and Japan. Cultivated in temperate regions of America and Europe.
